A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Forest Hills Cemetery in Rock Hill.
Born October 20, 1961, Mr. Pettus was a native of the Indian Land community. Active in the high school band as a drummer, music continued to be a source of great enjoyment throughout his lifetime along with fishing and gardening. His hard work, attention to detail and dedication served him well in the construction business as a brick mason.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Susan R. Pettus; their daughter, Sara R. Pettus of Greenville, S.C.; his sister, Sandra Campbell (Sam) of Indian Land; and his aunts, uncle and cousins.
Mr. Pettus was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Douglas Pettus and Katie Smith Pettus; his grandparents, William and Colleen Pettus, Howard and Cora Alice Smith; and his young niece, Shannon Campbell, all of Indian Land.
