He is the son of Harold Hughes and Neva (Gallagher) Hughes.

Brother of Delmas Hughes.

He left behind his wife that he had married on 4/16/1977, 5 children, 3 siblings, 11 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He had graduated from Cambridge H.S. in 1965.

He had retired from being a USPS letter carrier.

He had been a member of Elks BPOE 448, Eagles Aerie 386 and Loyal Order of Moose #631.

He loved the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Dallas Cowboys and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

He was Christian.

He had served his country in the US Army, Vietnam War Era; discharged as a Spec. 5; member of AMVETS Post 70, VFW Post 2901, American Legion #415 (Summerfield) and DAV Chapter #28; appointed to the Veterans Service Office Commission; he received Military Honors for his funeral from the Guernsey Co. Veterans Council.
