Rayburn C. Jones, 96, passed from this life on July 8, 2014. He was born January 8, 1918 in Texas to Chester and Mary (Casey) Jones. He was a veteran of the US Army and in March of 1948, he received a Bronze Star. Rayburn also enjoyed any hobby that allowed him to be outdoors; Golf was his first love and fishing was his second.
Rayburn was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Buddy H. Jones; and sister, Mary Ella Rotruck. He is survived by his beloved wife of 74 ½ years, Frances A. Jones; sister in law, Jerri Puckett; brother and sister in law, George and Ruthie Goure; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.
