She was predeceased by husband, William Donald in 2005. She was the beloved mother of daughters, Barbara Stipa (Ted) of Wilmington, DE, and Evelyn Schafer (Bud) of Pitman. Grandmother of Ted Stipa III (Marissa) and Cathy Praissman (Jeff). Great grandmother to six, she had however, only one sweet and special great granddaughter, Lydia Stipa. Her special great grandsons are Park Stipa, William, twins Max & Cole, and Holden Praissman. Also survived by sister in law, Elsie Saul of NC and many nieces and nephews.
Betty retired from National Bank & Trust of Gloucester County in 1986 and enjoyed many years of boating on the Chesapeake Bay with her husband. She was a seamstress who loved making her daughters dresses and special outfits as they were growing up. She also enjoyed making various craft projects. She was a member of Friends Needing Friends and the Golden Age Club of Our Lady Queen of Peace RC Church. She had a special bond with her "bestis" friend, Jean Brod whom she met at the Friends group. Her daughters especially want to thank Samaritan Hospice Caregiver, Rose and her nurse Sharon for their attentive and loving care and her Comfort Keeper companion, Sarah, for her devoted care these past months.
Friends may call Thursday, from 10 to 10:45AM in Mary, Mother of Mercy Parrish, Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 161 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ. Funeral Mass 11AM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
