The farm of Marshall and Sherman is just three miles from Cardington, Cardington Township, Morrow County, Ohio. Morrow County was created in 1848 from Delaware, Marion, and Richland Counties. Lives lived there and especially on the borders were little affected, and went on. He married Etta on 7 Mar 1886 in Morrow County. They were blessed with a son Nathan Miner on 5 May 1887. Miner is the maiden name of Sherman's step mother Margaret Miner Maxwell.
