Funeral service for Dorothy Janette Hearn Rivers will be held 2 PM Sunday, June 17, 2007 in Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery at Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be Saturday, June 16, 2007 from 5 PM until 8 PM and on Sunday, June 17, 2007 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. Rivers, 91, of Natchitoches, La., died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, La. She was a native of Palmetto, Ga. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Cane River Home Demonstration Club, and Natchitoches Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Herman Wilson; second husband, Sam Henry Rivers, Jr.; two sisters and two brothers; parents, Hope Lamar Hearn and Finella Jane Shackleford Hearn. She is survived by her two daughters, Sallie Box and husband Tom of La Vergne, Tn. and Mary Jane Bloomquist of Lake Charles, La.; one son, Michael Rivers and wife Grace of Dallas, Tx.; Sabrina Bauer and husband Ray of La Vergne, Tn. and Alaina Davis and husband Mark of Franklin, Tn.; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Pat Hearn of Atlanta, Ga. Pallbearers will be deacons of Trinity Baptist Church.
