Jerry A. Riddle, 67, of Edmonds, died February 18, 2001. He was born in Italy, Texas and at age 15 moved with his family to Washington.

He played on the school baseball team at Edmonds High School. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1951 and spent most of his service time aboard the U.S.S. Jupiter, where he received the Navy Occupational Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

After the Navy he met his wife Dorothy Riddle. They had 4 children, 4 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. He owned a successful Mason Contracting business for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Riddle (Edmonds); daughter Sharon Keo and granddaughters Kara and Krystal (Edmonds); son Ken (Seattle); son Don and wife Traci and grandchildren Megan and Colin (Everett); and son Steve and wife Carolyn and step-grandchildren Keanne and Dan (Everett); sisters Wanda Steward (Edmonds) and Shirley Nearing and husband Ken (Portland); and many nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2001 at Floral Hills, Lynnwood.
