Widow of the late Albion Welch who died six years ago, Mrs. Welch had failed rapidly in health since her 78th birthday on Jan. 15. During the past three years she had resided in Abbotsford, making her home with Mrs. E. W. Mouldey.
Homesteading with her late husband more than two score years ago in Peardonville when the land had first to be logged of big timber, Mrs. Welch raised a family of ten, three of which, two daughters and a son, predeceased her. There are surviving seven sons: Jesse, Snoqualmie, Wn.; Paul, Agassiz; Philip, Port Alberni; Albert and Bert, Bend, Ore.; Alan, Ladysmith, and Warren, Seattle.
The funeral service takes place this afternoon from Henderson Funeral Home, Abbotsford, to Hazelwood Cemetery.
