Michael J. "Mike" Wooldridge, aged 44, formerly of Brighton, Illlinois, died unexpectedly on July 8th, 2014 in rural Madison County. He was born on February 19th, 1970 in Alton, Illinois to the late Jerome D. and Carolyn S. (McGuire) Wooldridge of Brighton.
Mr. Wooldridge spent over twenty years in law enforcement and had recently retired from the Edwardsville Police Department. He enjoyed spending time outdoors - camping and hunting - with his son Jeff and his nephews: Jacob and Adam.
Mr. Wooldridge was preceded in death by his dad, Jerome, and a son, Nicholas.
He was survived by his mother, Carolyn (McGuire) Wooldridge-Trammel; one son, Jeffrey; three siblings (two brothers and a sister): Tim (and wife Rozanna), Chris, and Joy; as well as, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was on Friday, July 11th, 2014 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Brighton, with the Reverends Amy and Mike Rayson officiating. Burial followed in Brighton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Backstoppers® Inc., 10411 Clayton Road, Le Chateau Village, Suite A5, St. Louis, MO 63131
