JOSEPH A. VONDRACHEK (d. 1957)

Joseph A. Vondrachek (photo) of Reedsville died Tuesday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness. He was 82.
Funeral services wll be at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the Reedsville Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic church, Reedsville, the Rev. William Koutnik officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was born March 4, 1875, in the Town of Cato, son of the late Joseph and Anna Hejlak Vondrachek. He married the former Alvina Foreyt Nov. 13, 1???. They farmed in the Town of Cato until 1937 when they moved to Reedsville. His wife died in 1950. He was treasurer of the Rockland Mutual Fire Insurance Co. for ?? years and treasurer of the school district at Grimms for 10 years. He served 29 years as director of the Reedsville Cooperative Assn., was secretary of the building committee of St. Mary Church which was built in 1907 and member of the Holy Name Society of the church.

Survivors include four sons, Charles of Reedsville and Joseph, Bernard and Paul of Milwaukee; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Cherl of Reedsville, Mrs. Clarence Lipp and
Mrs. Frank Manino of Manitowoc and Mrs. William Morris of Hawaii; four brothers, John and Albert of Valley City, N.D., Charles of Waterford, Wis., and Emil of Rt. 2, Reedsville; sister, Mrs. Caroline Koutnik of Norwalk, Calif.; 28 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Thursday. The Rosary will
be recited at 8:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
