Atty. Edward Shimon, 48, of Reedsville, died Thursday morning at Memorial Hospital, Chilton, following an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at Reedsville Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville. The Rev. Karl Buresh will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
Military graveside rites will be accorded Mr. Shimon by member of the American Legion Post 124 of New Holstein.
Mr. Shimon was born Feb. 8, 1928, at Reedsville, son of Edward and Barbara Burich Shimon Sr. He was graduated from Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill., and University of Wisconsin Law School, Madison. He had been supervisor
of the Appleton office of the State of Wisconsin Department of Industry Labor and Human Relations, director and Legal counsel for Badger Boys State, former staff office of Boys Nation, Washington, D.C., member of Holy Name Society of
Holy Rosary Church of New Holstein, all-state basketball player on the 1946 Reedsville High School championship basketball team.
He married June Ciha Oct. 5, 1963 at Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife of Reedsville, three sons, Mark, Brian and Jay, and a daughter, Kathy all at home, his mother, Mrs. Barbara Shimon, of Reedsville and two brothers, Steve, Milwaukee and Norbert, New Holstein.
Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday. There will be a wake service at 8:15 p.m. by Father Buresh.
