Edward Joseph Schuh, 92, of Reedsville Manor, formerly of Rt. 2,
Reedsville, died peacefully at the home of his daughter on Saturday
morning, June 3, 1989. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday at
St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville. Rev. Nicholas Johannes will
officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Schuh was born December 25, 1896 in the Town of Maple Grove, son
of the late Sebastian and Margaret Denor Schuh. He married Ottilia
Miller on October 20, 1930 at Holy Trinity Catholic church, Kasson.
She preceded him in death on October 7, 1982. He was a farmer and
mason contractor until his retirement. Mr. Schuh was the last
remaining member of his family.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Leon and Dianne
Schuh of Reedsville, Edward and Theresa Schuh of Pine Ridge, South
Dakota, Donald and Joyce Schuh of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; seven
daughters and sons-in-law, Irene and John Nenahlo, Germaine and
William Hoyer, Florence and Norbert Braun of rural Brillion, Eleanore
and Donald Brunig of Kissimmee, Florida, Corrine and Paul Staudinger
and Alice and John Maney of rural Reedsville, Bernice and Kenneth
Brochtrup of Reedsville; two daughters-in-law, Gloria Schuh of Brillion
and Nancy Schuh of Reedsville; five brothers-in-law, Norbert, Phillip
and Carl Miller of Brillion, Kosmos Miller of Janesville and Vincent
Miller of Rockwood; seven sisters-in-law, Mrs. Marcella Fischer of
Reedsville, Mrs. Raymond (Caroline) Lang, Mrs. William (Josephine)
Schuh, Mrs. Simon (Gertrude) Sadowski of Manitowoc, Sister Cosmas
Miller of West Point, Nebraska, Mrs. Robert (Marion) Hanagan of
Appleton, Mrs. Clayton (Catherine) Baeten of Kaukauna; 16 grandchildren;
28 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons,
Harland, December 20, 1987 and Kenneth, November 10, 1981, an infant
daughter, 2 grandsons, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
Friends may call at Wieting Schneider Funeral Home, Reedsville, 4 pm to
9 pm Monday and on Tuesday from 8 am to 10 am when family rites will be
held. Parish vigil at 7:30 pm Monday evening.
