GURLEY - Mrs. Julia Victoria Gurley, age 71 of 1312 Thomason Ave., Tarrant City, passed away Friday at the residence. Survived by 1 daughter, Mrs. C.H. Brand, B'ham; 5 sons, Ezra A., R.E. and Paul Gurley, all of B'ham; Ernest E. Gurley, Gadsden; John W. Gurley, Daytona Beach, Fla.; 1 brother, J.M. Abel, B'ham; 4 sisters, Mrs. Jane Dean, Mrs. Nancy Hicks, Mrs. Bartie Abel, Mrs. Emmie Hicks, all of B'ham; 18 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter. Funeral services Sunday 2 p.m. from Hopewell Baptist Church, interment adjoining cemetery, Rev. John Calvert officiating. Active pallbearers, Bert Gurley, Dennis Gurley, Allen Gurley, and Richard Gurley. Brown-Service, Norwood, directing.
