Kenneth E. Epperson, 58, of New London, died at 4:47 p.m. on Sunday, May 23, 2004 at the University Hospital in Columbia.

Mr. Epperson was born on November 29, 1945, in New London to Kenneth N. and Dora L. Parrish Epperson.

He was married to Judith Schulten on September 7, 1991, in Ilasco. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters Lori Gottman (Chris) of Shelbyville and Gail Gough (Ron) of Monroe City; one son Kenneth A. Epperson and fiancee, Rachel Campbell, of New London; six grandchildren, Megan Tupper, Jessie Gottman, Cheyanne Gottman, David Damron, Jaren Damron and Evan Gough; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Epperson was a U.S. Navy veteran having served from 1964-1968. He worked at Continental Cement as a diesel mechanic and he farmed. He enjoyed farming and being with his family. Mr. Epperson was admired by his family as a father and grandfather for the example he set and guidance he offered.
