Stanley Ramsey, age 85, of Grimsley, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Ramsey was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and a member of the Clarkrange Masonic Lodge #605.

Mr. Ramsey is survived by wife, Pauline Beaty Ramsey; daughters, Kathy Edwards and husband Buddy, Jeana Taylor and husband Gerald; son Danny Ramsey and wife Myra; grandsons, Jason Cravens and wife Brandi, Adam Ramsey and wife Tina, Phillip Ramsey and wife Kristy; granddaughters, Jeni Johnson and husband JR and Beth Hicks and husband David; great-grandsons, Ethan Worley, Brandy Cravens, Luke, Bo, Sawyer and Weston Ramsey; great-granddaughters, Bailey Cravens and Jaylee Johnson; brother, Bill Ramsey and wife Sue; sisters, Lou Stephens and husband Reece and Ann Hannahan.

Mr. Ramsey was preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Lola Rogers Ramsey; son, Randy Bryan Ramsey; sister, Betty Cole; mother and father-in-law, Virgil and Bertha Beaty; brothers-in-law, Ozelle Cole, T.W. Lewis and Kerm Hannahan.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Buddy Edwards officiating. Burial followed in the Spring Chapel Cemetery with Military services conducted at graveside. Active pallbearers included Ricky Cook, Michael Reagon, Kent Norris, Kevin Norris, Billy Joe Wilson, and Jimmy Gunter. Honorary pallbearers included Scottie and Nancie Gunter, Truman and Joanne Creselious, Dewey and Christine Cook, Roger and Brenda Hall, Claudell and Betty Norris and Shirley Bledsoe.

Mundy Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.
