Arthur H. Bell 87, of Billings, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at home, from a heart attack. Art was born in Roberts on March 19, 1927, to Matt and Mayme (Harmala) Bell in Roberts.

Art attended the Cottonwood School and then graduated Roberts High School. After high school graduation, he went into the Army in December 1944 as a radio repairman and was stationed at Adak, Alaska. He completed his service in November of 1946, then returned to the farm in Roberts and helped his mother and brother, Leonard, farming and ranching.

Art met his future wife at a dance in Roberts in 1952. They were married on Aug. 5, 1953, and still live in the home they purchased in Billings. Art worked for Northern Pacific Transport which merged with Burlington Northern Transport and drove an in town delivery truck for 33 years. Art also wired houses, performed mechanical work on vehicles, coached little league baseball and was an avid hunter. Art loved to play horseshoes, bowl in the winter and golf in the summer. When Art retired in 1984, he and his wife traveled in their recreational vehicle extensively throughout U.S.

He was preceded in death by his father, Matt; his mother, Mayme; and his brother, Leonard.
