Sherry Horton, age 59, of Wylie, Texas, passed away July 5, 2014. She was born January 27, 1955, in Sherman, Texas, to David Clinton King, Jr. and Ona (Giles) King. Sherry was known as "Nanny" to all kids and everyone was always welcomed in her home.
She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, George Horton; mother, Ona Malin; daughter, Retta Nihart; son, Bucky Carr and wife Sila; daughters, Catrina and Rhonda; sons, Brian, Robert, Jason, and their families; 21 Grandchildren; sisters, Betty Jordan, Bonnie Brandon and Billie Long; brother, David Reno; nephews, John Chapman and wife Maria and Ed Lester; her very close and special friends, Randa, Sharilyn, and Vergie; and many more loved ones.
Sherry was preceded in death by her dads, David Clinton King Jr, Gran Gran, and TR; and grandson, Tristin Horton.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
