Amy O'Neill Woods, 42, of Skaneateles, and Seneca Falls died peacefully Monday July 7, 2014 at Auburn Community Hospital. Amy was born in Auburn on March 27, 1972. She was a graduate of Skaneateles High School and had been employed with the Cayuga Seneca ARC Center Day Program in Auburn and Seneca Falls. Amy was a joy to be with, and brought much laughter to friends and family. She is survived by her mother, Patricia O'Neill Snyder; her stepdad, Gary Snyder; her sister, Molly Elliott and her husband, Thomas of Skaneateles; her brother, Peter Woods and his wife, Bonnie of Australia; two half-brothers, Casey and Ryan Woods of Oswego; stepsister, Allison Teachout of Skaneateles, and a stepbrother, Nathan Snyder of Fayetteville; several nieces, nephews; her special uncle, Arthur O'Neill of Florida, and aunt and uncle, Robert and Peggy Watson from Tennessee. Amy was predeceased by her father, Patrick John Woods; twin brothers, Michael and Brian Woods; grandparents, Charles and Catherine O'Neill of Skaneateles and George and Sarah Woods of Oswego. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's of the Lake Church, Skaneateles. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Skaneateles. Friends are invited to call on the family, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South Street, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cayuga Seneca ARC, Ovid St., Seneca Falls, NY.
