unexpectedly on Monday, May 24, 1993, at Holy Family Memorial Medical
Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 1993, at St.
Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville. The Rev. Nicholas Johannes will
officiate with burial in the parish cemetery.
He was born January 20, 1916, in Brillion, son of the late Emil and Meta
Behn Janke. He was married to Evelyn Bartel Vondrachek May 10, 1949, in
Reedsville. He served in the U.S. Army from 1941-1945. He farmed in the
Reedsville area and also worked for the Reedsville Coop. He was a member
of St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville, and the VFW Post No. 6179 of
Kelllnersville.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; three step sons and
daughters-in-law, Gary and Laurel Vondrachek, Kiel, John and Mary Ann
Vondrachek, Reedsville, Dale and Doris Vondrachek, Brillion; seven
grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters and one
brother-in-law, Mildo Dvorachek, Brillion, Arlene and Vernon Schroeder,
Potter; one sister-in-law, Deloris Janke, Brillion; many nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by one grandson Steven John
Vondrachek, one brother, Earl Janke, and one brother-in-law, Joe Dvorachek.
Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home, Reedsville, from 4-9 p.m.
on Wednesday, May 26, 1993, and on Thursday from 7:45-10 a.m. when
family rites will be held. There will be a parish vigil at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
