Allen T. King, 84, of Abbeville, husband of Frances Ferguson King, died Tuesday, July 08, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Abbeville to the late Benjamin H. and Bessie Lee Erwin King.
Mr. King retired from the Milliken - Abbeville Plant after many dedicated years of service. He was a member of Upper Long Cane Presbyterian Church and the Clinton Masonic Lodge #3.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Osborne A. King and Julius 'Buddy' King; and a sister, Winton Lewis. Surviving Mr. King are his wife of 63 years of the home; two daughters, Dena K. Brown and Cheryl K. Dobbins and her husband Todd all of Abbeville; a sister, Jean McCalla of Iva; three grandchildren, Trish, Ron and A.J; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Avery, Asa and C.J.
Graveside services will be 10:00AM Thursday, July 10, 2014 in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Wayne Wicker officiating.
The family is at the home of Dena Brown, 96 1st Ave. Lake Secession where they will be receiving family and friends.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. King may be sent to the Upper Long Cane Presbyterian Church, 194 Highway 20, Abbeville, SC 29620 or to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W. Lilburn, GA 30047.
