Edwin S. Stahlnecker, former Sheriff and Treasurer of Montgomery county, died at the home of his son, Attorney H. Wilson Stahlnecker, in Flourtown, Saturday. Mr. Stahlnecker was well known throughout the country. He was 83 years old, and while he had been in failing health for some time, became seriously ill only a few days ago. Besides his son, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles H. Wolford, of Norristown. His wife, Anna R. Stahlnecker, died nearly 25 years ago.
