Raymond Services Pending
Funeral services are pending at Ballard Funeral Home for Mrs. Oney Raymond, 95, of 700 N. Missouri Ave., who died Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital.
Mrs. Raymond was a Lincoln County pioneer and one-time operator of Tinnie Mercantile Company. She was also Postmistress of Tinnie for many years until her retirement to Roswell 20 years ago.
She was life-long resident of New Mexico, born July 11, 1884 in Las Vegas. Her husband, Stephan R. Raymond, preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Tinnie Clayton of Roswell, Mrs. Jane Traylor of Lordsburg, and Mrs. Virginia Bartamus of South Carolina, and one grandson John W. Raymond of Roswell.
She was preceded in death by one son, John P. Raymond in 1957.

Raymond Funeral Set
Funeral services for Mrs. Oney Raymond, 95, of 700 N. Missouri are scheduled for Tuesday, 10:30 in the Ballard Chapel.
Mrs. Raymond was the former owner of Tinnie Mercantile Co. and the only postmistress in Tinnie until her retirement.
She moved to Lincoln in a covered wagon with her parents. She was one of the first pioneers of the Tinnie area, formerly known as Anaya in the 1900's.
Dr. Bervin O. Caswell, pastor of First United Methodist Church will officiate. Special music selections will be rendered by ZoAnn Milner, accompanied by Geraldine Barbee. Burial was follow in South Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be H. L. Traylor, Carl Verhines, Red Robinson, Gilbert Dow, B E. Robinson, and Raymond Arnold.
