London Mills--Grace Ellen Barkley, 89, a resident of Farmington Country Manor, formerly of London Mills, died at 8:25 am on Monday, 9 Nov 1998, in the nursing home. She was born 3 Mar 1909 near Rapatee, the daughter of George and Nellie Yeoman Tasker. She married Paul Eugene Barkley on 4 June 1930 in Lewistown.
Surviving are her husband, also in Farmington Country Manor; two sons, Larry E Barkley, Prairie DuRochet, and Jerry W Barkley, London Mills; two daughters, Phyllis Terwilliger, Avon, and Alice Urish, Glasford; one brother, James Tasker of Knoxville; nine grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters.
She was a home maker. She and her husband farmed in the London Mills area for the past 50 years. She was a member of the Mothers of World War II and Senior Citizens in London Mills.
Graveside services were held at Maquon Cemetery, with the Rev. David Lindemer officiating. Visitation was at Corman Memorial Home, London Mills. Memorials may be made to the London Mills Ambulance Service.
