A life-long resident of the Kansas City area, she graduated from Washington High School. On September 17, 1960, she married Charles Gilmore. She worked for the Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA) as a toll-collector and supervisor. She was an active member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church and a member of their Eucharistic ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. July 11, 2014 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, Kansas City, Kansas. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, eleven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
