Vera Brownell Hogan, 82, was the daughter of Forrest Lawton and Edna (Welling) Brownell. She married Earl Duane Hogan 60 years ago on June 10, 1944 in Johnsonville, N.Y. and moved to Fort Collins in 1973 from Rochester, N.Y. Mrs. Hogan graduated from Valley Falls High School and from Russell Sage College in Troy, N.Y. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Collins, the Women's Guild of the Fort Collins Symphony and a charter member of the Fort Collins Service League. She devoted much effort in researching family history and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Colonial Dames of the Seventeenth Century.

Mrs. Hogan is survived by her husband Earl of Fort Collins; her son and daughter-in-law, Donn and Toni Hogan of Redmond, Wash.; her daughter and son-in-law, Janet Hogan and Robert Schroeder of Seattle, Wash.; two granddaughters... a brother and sister-in-law, Donn and Dot Brownell of Schaghticoke, N.Y.; and three sisters, Evelyn Kosowsky of Norwich, N.Y., Norma Davis of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. and Marion Moore of Valley Falls, N.Y.
