Vera Beacham Breashears
Vera Beacham Breashears, 84, of Kitty Hawk, died Friday in Nags Head. Born in Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Wiliam Roy and Inez Gaimel Beacham and the widow of Royal D. Breashears. She was a homemaker and also known by many as a "greeter" for several years at Walmart. Surviving are a daughter, Sue Ann Burns of Wilbur-By-The-Sea, Fla; one son, James "Jim" Breashears of Colington; two sisters, Alma Hayman of Kitty Hawk and Shirely Shannon of Suffolk; two brothers, Willam Roy Beacham Jr. and Jerry Holden Beacham, both of Kitty Hawk; and four grandchildren. A service of remembrance will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, in Austin Cemetery with the Rev. Eugene McLawhorn officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
