LEXINGTON: Todd John Henry, age 39, of Hampton Road, Lexington, died Wednesday afternoon September 5, 2001 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.
Now alive with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Todd fought a courageous four-year battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
He was born March 15, 1962 in Mansfield, attended Pioneer Joint Vocational School, completed the diesel mechanics program, and was graduated from Lexington High School in 1980.
A lifelong Mansfield area resident, Todd had worked the past two years as service manager for Pep Boys in Ontario. He had previously worked as a mechanic and supervisor with Omni Source on Bowman Street for more than five years.
An avid motorcyclist, Todd's interests extended to Corvettes and spending active time on the bike trail.
A bluegrass music enthusiast, Todd was a gift banjo player and vocalist.
A member of the Lexington Church of Christ, he will be sorely missed by his daughters and family.
He is survived by three daughters Ashley Marie Henry and twins Brittany Lee Henry and Brooke Lauren Henry; his mother and step father Saundra K. & Edward Crain of Lexington; his father John R. Henry of Lexington; his former wife Jenny (West) Harrison of Rock Vale, TN; two sisters and brothers-in-law Tonya & Kevin Miller of Lexington and Tina & Chad Finley of Fredericktown; his maternal grandmother Laura Hershner of Lexington; nieces and nephews Adam Miller, Levi Miller, Zachary Miller, Caleb Finley, Leah Finley and Alyssa Finley; his best motorcycle buddy John McCarter of Shelby; aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Clyde Hershner, paternal grandparents Levi & Lucille Henry and a cousin Marsha Hause.
Friends may call Friday September 7, 2001 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A service celebrating his life will be held Saturday at 11 am in the Lexington Church of Christ, 230 Delaware Street, Lexington. Pastor Steven R. Liming will officiate. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the Todd J. Henry Memorial Fund may be made at the funeral home.
