Paul Michael Atkins, age 58 of 5115 Carolwood Lane, Durham, NC passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, July 6th. He was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Margaret Atkins.

He grew up in Apex, NC and attended Apex High School and Wake Tech. He was owner of Paul Atkins & Associates and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where he had served as deacon.

Paul loved his wife, his boys, his cats and dog and would talk to them for hours, no response needed. He was an avid sports fan, die hard Duke fan and was there to cheer them on through the good and bad days. He was one of the founders of Woodcroft Athletic Association and coached little league sports for many years and was also a volunteer football coach for Jordan High School.

Anyone who knew him will always remember his outlandish personality, his unique laugh, and how proud he was of his wife and kids.

The funeral will be held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 9th at 11am.

In lieu of flowers donations to Jordan High School Athletics would be appreciated. Details will be available soon at Walker's Funeral Home and Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Chapel Hill, NC.

Paul would like everyone to know that" he's glad you got to see him. "
