Eleanor M. "Tommy" Cummings, 71, of Champion, died Monday, May 26, 2008 at home. She was born May 22, 1937 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Thomas and Eleanor (Campbell) Nolan. Growing up in Osage, W.Va., she and her family had lived in the Warren/Champion area since 1965.

A member of St. William's Catholic Church, Mrs. Cummings enjoyed animals, bingo, and most of all, her family.

Surviving are husband, James E. "Eddie" Cummings, whom she married September 3, 1960; two sons, Rick (Dennise) Johnson of Colorado and Pat Cummings of Chagrin Falls; three granddaughters: Jennifer (Dan) Woods, Jamie Johnson and friend Chris, and Brianna Cummings; a great-grandson, Trevor May; and a sister, Judy Wiles of Westover, W. Va. Preceding her in death are her parents and a daughter, Renee M. Cummings.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008 at St. William Catholic Church, 5431 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren, Ohio 44483, with Fr. Michael Smar officiating. Friends may call 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, and 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Material contributions may be made either to the Animal Welfare League, 545 Brunstetter Rd. S.W., Warren, Ohio 44481, or Forum Health at Home-Hospice, 8747 Squires Lane N.E., Warren, Ohio 44484.

Arrangements are entrusted to McFarland & Son Funeral Services Co., 271 N. Park Ave., Warren, Ohio 44481.
