The Anthon Herald, 14 March 1951, page 1: Funeral services for Louis S. Hoult, 60, who died at his home near Anthon Tuesday afternoon, March 6, following a long illness, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Anthon Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Artman officiating. Two songs, "Beautiful Garden of Prayer" and "Nearer My God to Thee" were sung by W.G. Garrison and Mrs. Walter Hladik, accompanied by Mrs. George Peterson at the organ. Pallbearers were Leonard Cassen, Abe Schram, Carey Drossel, Ed Roark, Cyril Carr and Roy Pitkin. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery under direction of Hudgel Funeral Home. Mr. Hoult was born April 25, 1890, and adopted by Mr. and Mrs. George Hoult of Anthon. Surviving him are the widow, Edith; three daughters, Mrs. Eva Herbold of Marion, Iowa; Mrs. Mabel Sander of Holstein and Bettina of Anthon; and two grandsons, Ronald and Ricky Herbold.
