Mrs. Emily Montgomery, age 77, of Atmore, AL., passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Atmore Nursing Care Center.

Mrs. Emily Ree Bullard Montgomery, age 77, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the Atmore Nursing Care Center. She was a native of Baldwin County and a longtime resident of Atmore, AL. She attended the Pleasant Hill School and the Escambia County Training School in Atmore. She was a member of Pleasant Hill (Full Gospel) Baptist Church on Hwy 21. She was retired from Vanity Fair.
She was preceded in death by two sons, John E. Montgomery and George Montgomery, Jr.; her parents, J. B. and Clara Bell Bullard; one sister, Rosie Lee Mitchell and one brother, Carl Bullard.
Mrs. Montgomery is survived by her husband, George Montgomery, Sr. of Atmore; one daughter, Patricia (Harold) Mason of Atmore; three sons, Robert Montgomery, Curtis Montgomery and Gary Montgomery, all of Atmore; four sisters, Clara Mae Young and Mary Lee Dailey, both of Atmore, Minnie Hines of Birmingham, AL. and Helen McDowell of Pensacola, FL.; four brothers, Lee Edward Bullard, Eddie Bullard, John H. Bullard, all of Atmore and James Bullard of Dayton, Ohio; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Center with Rev. Donzell Young, Pastor of New Regeneration Baptist Church – Atmore, eulogist and Overseer Darryl North, host pastor.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 from 2 – 8:30 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home and her body will lie instate at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
