He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Disabled American Vets, American Legion, Masons, VFW of Lexington, Georgia Retired Teachers Association and Woodmen of the World. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII 1945-1947 and the United States Air Force during the Korean War 1950-1952. He retired from WJB Dorn VA Medical Center and Medical College of Georgia
He was preceded in death by his son, Wallace E. Walker , Jr., brother, Jack O. Walker , sisters, Louise W. White and Sarah W. Baughman.
