He was born in Beaumont to James and Lucille Trahan.
Thomas had served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a butcher working in the Golden Triangle at several supermarkets. He was a member of the United Food and Commercial International Union.
He is survived by his sons: Robert Paul Bailey of Beaumont, Robert Trahan of Kansas City, Missouri, Thomas Trahan, Jr. of Beaumont, his daughter Cynthia White of Vidor, Texas, his brothers: Ronnie Trahan of Vidor, Charles Trahan of Copperas Cove,Texas, his sisters: Barbara Gooch of Vidor, Cheryl Barnette of Deweyville,Texas, twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6pm until 8pm Monday, July 7, 2014 in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 2pm Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Hemphill Cemetery.
