Ashton lived in Afton for many years and was known in the area for her giving spirit and beautiful art. She faithfully followed and served the Lord for 99 years and moved many mountains through her faithful prayers. She was an avid artist who did her work until one month before her passing. There are probably a thousand homes that have one of her pictures hanging on a wall. All of her art was to praise and honor the wonderful Lord Jesus Christ.
A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Church of the Blue Ridge, Afton, VA, with Pastor Danny McAllister officiating. The family will meet friends, following the service. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Christian Home, Beulah Land Foundation, 85 Beulah Drive, Raphine, VA 24472.
We thank all who cared for her in the latter years of her life, especially, the Blue Ridge Christian Home (Beulah Land) and all of their staff for her wonderful care.
