Vandalia �" Irene R. Price, 92 of Vandalia, formerly of South Bend, passed away at 1:30pm Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in the Cass County Medical Care Facility. Irene was born on February 10, 1922 in South Bend to Joseph and Rose (Kepes) Kish. She was a private secretary at Bendix during World War II and retired from Koszegi. Irene was a long time member of Our Lady of Hungary Church its St. Anne Society and the Calvert Rod & Gun Club Ladies Auxiliary. She loved preparing her Hungarian recipes and spending time at the lake. On November 22, 1941 she married Harry H. Price. He died on February 12, 1989. Irene was also preceded in death by a daughter Beverly Bernth and a brother Joseph Kish. Surviving are a daughter Michele (Keith) Mayes of South Bend; two sons Harry J. "Buddy" Price and Douglas A. Price both of Shavehead Lake, MI; 4 grandchildren Brian (Linda) Bernth, Daniel (April) Bernth, Rachel (Greg) Zick and Orrin Thomas Price; and 3 great-grandchildren Jeremiah, Leigha, and Haleigh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm Monday, July 7, 2014 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:30am to 12:45pm Monday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue where a rosary will be recited at 10:30am.
