She was born May 5, 1932 in Crawford County, Ohio the daughter of the late H. Ross and Anna (Straka) Gantzler. Barb was a 1950 graduate of Tiro High School. She retired in 1994 from Cornell's IGA after 33 years of service. Prior to that, she worked at Wilkens Air Force Depot. She was a member of the Mansfield Faith Assembly Church and Bucyrus Chapter #3 Order of The Eastern Star – where she had been Past Matron.
Barb is survived by 2 daughters: Pam (Doug) Whittington of Upland, Indiana and Victoria (Tim ) Dillon of Shelby; 2 sons: Allen Moon of Mt. Vernon and Lynn Moon of Mansfield; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild: Athena Pantoja; 2 step sons: Wayne (Barbara) Ingram and Stanley (Darlene) Ingram all of Shelby; 4 step daughters: Cindy (Howard) Gordon of Shelby, Bonnie Hall of Lexington, Gloria Turner of Shelby, Kathy (Bill) Morton of Texas; 13 step grandchildren; 12 step great grandchildren;
a brother: H. Wally Gantzler of Shelby; a sister: Virginia (Ray) Smith of Tiro. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, G. Ray Ingram in 2007.
Friends may call on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 5-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM with Pastor Don Wilson officiating.
