Frances Crave Adams of Brewster died July 4th at the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in South Dennis after an illness. She was 81. Born and raised in Provincetown, she was the youngest of John and Emma (Holmes) Crave's seven children. She worked as a special needs aide for many years, finishing her career at the Brewster Elementary School. Frances also volunteered time at the Brewster Ladies Library and the Our Lady of the Cape thrift store. Frances was an avid reader and loved reading history as well as biographies of famous people. She enjoyed telling stories at great length to anyone who would listen. Frances was very devoted to her church and always spoke with love and pride of her family. Frances is survived by her sisters Josephine Romeo of Tampa, FL and Francelina Shea of North Weymouth, MA, She is also survived by her daughter Susan DeChristopher of Sunset Beach, NC and son Wally Adams and his wife Mitzie of Eastham, MA. Grand-children and great-grandchildren, Adam DeChristopher and his wife Rebecca and their 2 children Andrew and Lyza of Hingham, MA. Michael DeChristopher and his wife Erin and their 2 children, Jamison and Molly of Brockton, MA. Joshua Adams and his wife Krystal and their son Brayden of Harwich, MA. Jessica Vermaak and her husband Duane and their daughter Alexa of Harwich, MA and Tanya and Kayla Adams of Eastham, MA. as well as several nieces and nephews also survive her. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, July 8th at St. Peter the Apostle Church, Prince St, Provincetown. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 94 Harry kemp Way, Provincetown on Monday, July 7th from 6:00 – 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be sent to Brewster Ladies Library, 1822 Main St, Brewster, MA 02631, the Lower Cape Outreach Food Pantry, 19 Brewster Cross Road, Orleans, MA 02653, or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 60 Walnut St, Wellesley, MA 02481.
