funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014 in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home of Etowah with Dr. Shane Arnold officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 4, 2014 at the Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Wanda Faye Dixon, 68, a resident of Riceville, passed away Tuesday, July 01, 2014 at the family residence. She was a member of Double Spring Baptist Church. She was a square dancer with the Etowah Sugar Footers and also served as their president for many years. Mrs. Dixon was the daughter of the late Oscar Benton Tipton and Martha Orton Tipton and was also preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Moore. She is survived by her husband, Chester Dixon of Riceville; two daughters: Wanda Croft and husband, Jerry of Englewood and Susie West and husband, Wesley of Riceville; eight grandchildren: Amanda Roberts and husband, Jason, Sean West, Justin West, Johnathan West, Payge West, Austin West, Sarah West and Cole West; one great-grandchild, Noah Davenport Roberts; one brother, George Tipton of Athens; two nephews: Troy Moore and Danny Moore; one niece, Jennifer Tipton.
