She died quietly at Peterson Regional Medical Center with her family beside her and the loving, caring staff of the ER.
She had been residing at Edgewater Care Center for the past three months and was loved and cared for by the staff, administration and other patients. They will miss her smiling face and loving heart.
Mae, as she was called, was one of 11 children and came with her family to Texas as a very young child. The family was hard working, loving and generous. She loved her life-long friends and special neighbors like the Eckstein's and the Klingemann's. Her husband, George, passed away July 10, 1967. Mae married Henry John Schonberg on June 10, 1974 and became mother and grandmother to Henry's family. Henry passed away Aug. 13, 2004.
In 2005, Mae moved in with her daughter, Charlotte Foster, where she would remain for the next eight years. She remained close to her sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. She shared her love and faith with her Christian family. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
