He was born in St. Louis, MO and then the family moved to Georgia when Ricky was 15 months old. Ricky graduated from Ringgold High School and enjoyed hunting and riding his motorcycle. He worked with his dad for over 35 years as a carpenter.
Ricky was preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Ann Reed and Mother, Mary Nell Reed.
A loving and devoted father and son, he will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Haley Reed and Ericka Reed; grandson, Brantley Gogolin; father, J.D. (Joleta) Reed; sister, Lori Reed (Danny) Hollifield; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a special group of friends who shared his journey.
The family would like to express their appreciation for all the support and prayers they continue to receive.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday, July 5, in the funeral home chapel with Minister Dewey Sewell and Minister Jason Clark officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Saturday, July 5, at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
