I had heard that she had twin boys, who died in a painful childbirth, after the birth of my great-grandmother, Ethel Rhoads. Indeed, she was listed as having had 3 children, of whom only one was living, in the 1900 census, taken at 1808 W. Fayette Street, Baltimore, MD, when Ethel was already 10 years old. I guess she never forgot them.
