Mildred Faye Hickey

Mildred Faye Hickey, 77, of Rutledge, went to be in the Lord's presence Friday, July 4, 2014. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and mamaw. Mildred was a faithful member of New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Hickey, father Rev. Elbert Collins; mother, Effie Collins; brothers, Raymond and Billy Ray Collins; and sister, Mary Ann. Mildred was an avid gardener and a retired bus driver for Douglas Cherokee Head Start.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Randy Wallace; and daughter, Brenda Hickey, both of Rutledge; grandchildren, Samantha Lowe, Rev. Chad (Amber) Wallace, and Billy Jack Hurd; four great grandchildren, Sierra Grace Lowe, Nolan, Adylea, and Kaylea Wallace; sisters Thelma (Bill) Jones, and Helen Ramsey; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Parker, Beverly Hickey, and Ella Collins; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Sunday, July 6, 2014 at New freedom Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Wayne Grubb and Rev. Chad Wallace officiating.

Graveside services will be 11;00 A.M. Monday, July 7, 2014 in Noah's Chapel Cemetery in Rutledge. Serving as pallbearers will be Phillip Armstrong, Rev. Joe Bailey, Todd Hickey, Tommy Lee Hickey, Billy Jack Hurd, and Jerry Parker; honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Parker and Marvin Walker. The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. prior to services Sunday evening at New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.
