Jim is survived by his wife, Joanne; daughters, Kathy and Linda; grandchildren, Chad, Courtney, Tanner, Amber; and brother Benny. He is also survived by his sister-in- law, Mary Pieper and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by daughter Virginia Boynton and grandson Tyler Whitfill.
Jim owned the Ambassador Liquor Store and was an honorary member of the Long Beach Police Dept. He was a licensed General Contractor and was involved in the HUD program for the city.
