Bertha Lett Wessler, 88, of Odessa, died Oct. 11, 2003, in Enid, OK. She was born March 24, 1915, in Anderson, MO, to Charles Albert and Maggie (Epperson) Billings.

She was a seamstress for the Odessa Shoe Factory and had worked for several restaurants in Odessa.

During World War II, she worked in the commissary at Camp Crowder in Nevada, MO.

She graduated from high school in the Anderson area.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Odessa.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Martin Luther McIntire; Alfred Lett Sr.; Lloyd "Buck" Archer; and Wilfred "Pickett" Wessler.

Her survivors include four and spouses, Rosetta and Jerry Bedsole of Foley, AL; John and Judy McIntire of King, NC; Alfred Lett Jr. and Gail of Pleasant Hill, MO; and Steve and Beverly Lett of Enid, OK; two step-sons, Bryan Wessler and wife, Myrna of Concordia, MO; and Brad Wessler and wife, Vicki of Gladstone, MO; a brother, Clarence Billings of Jefferson City, MO; and ten grandchildren.

Friends may call tonight at the Ralph O. Jones Chapel, Odessa. Services will be Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Odessa. Burial will be in Odessa Cemetery.
