John Tangaro, 74, died October 23, 1991.

Born July 18, 1917, in Sunnyside, Utah to Joseph and Agatha Media Tangaro. He served in the Army during World War II and retired from Kennecott Copper after 39 years of service. He was active in many civic organizations and sports activities in Bingham and Salt Lake.

Survived by wife, Mary; sons, John ''Sonny'' and wife Kathy, Salt Lake City; David J. and wife Sharon, Sandy; six grandchildren,

Jeremy, Joel, Rick, Cara, Natalie, and Christen Tangaro; sisters, Mrs. Tony (Katherine) Fratto; Mrs. Ett (Velia) Cuatto, both Salt Lake City; Mary Sprague, Midvale; Anita Van Dyke, Santa Monica, Calif; brothers, Joseph and wife Mary Lou, St. Louis, Missouri; Tony and wife Ona, Midvale.

Preceded in death by brothers Frank and Jay.

Funeral Mass Monday, Oct. 28, 10 a.m., St. Therese Catholic Church, 75 East Lennox, Midvale. Prayer Service Sunday, 7 p.m., Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. Burial, Midvale City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions the to Holy Cross Hospital Chapel, St. Vincent DePaul Parish School, or Judge Memorial Development.
