James Warren Vaught passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at his home in Elkhorn, KY. He was 81.Born March 24, 1933 in Casey County, KY, he is the son of the late Arvin and Maude Wilson Vaught. He was a self-employed gate dealer and an Army veteran. Survivors include his caregiver, Carol Vaught of Elkhorn; son, James Dean Vaught of Liberty; 2 step-sons, Conrad (and July) Hicks of Junction City and Tony Hicks of Elizabethtown; 2 step-daughters, Linda (and Ricky) Sallee of Campbellsville and Annette Cook of Elkhorn; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, and a half- sister, Stella Wilson of Frankfort.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Vaught; four half-brothers, Russell Brown, Gaylen M. Brown, Omer Brown and Elmer Hall; and two half-sisters, Beulah Adams and Edna Whited.
