EASTOVER -- Memorial services for Earl Preston Walton Sr., 68, of Eastover, will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Eason Memorial Baptist Church of Eastover.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
Mr. Walton passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009. Born Aug. 22, 1941, in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Johnny and Ruby Lloyd Walton. Mr. Walton was retired from Square D Co. after 29 ? years of service. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed hunting.
Mr. Walton is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Patricia Folk Walton; a daughter, Candi Pender and husband, Rodney; two sons, Earl Walton Jr. and Christopher Hodge and wife, Leann; two sisters, Jeanne Minnick and Joann Norris and husband, Tom; a brother, Johnny M. Walton and wife, Nancy; sister-in-law, Shirley Walton; "special" sister-in-law, Pearl (Coot) Phillips; five grandchildren, Jenna and Bayleigh Pender, Nikolas Walton, and Molly and Abby Hodge; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Joyce Wilks; a brother, Robert Walton; and two nephews.
