Jack Edward Rodgers, 79, of Lewistown, PA, formerly of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 at his home supported by his caring sister, Marilee R. McNitt of Reedsville, PA. Born July 20, 1934 in Kistler, PA, he was the son of the late Roy E. and Mary Fazenbaker Rodgers. Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Wentzel Rodgers and brother, Billy L Rodgers.
He is survived by his sister, a sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Quaker Oats Co. of Shiremanstown, PA and was a member of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church. Jack loved to golf and was an avid reader. He always enjoyed a good joke. Jack had a boisterous, infectious laugh that always lit up every family gathering. A memorial service will be held 11:00am, on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Trindle Springs Lutheran Church, 14 State Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
