Evelyn was born October 13, 1924, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Clarence Moroni Johnson and Anna Elizabeth Moser Johnson. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. She attended Fairview Elementary and graduated from Ucon High School.
On December, 30, 1942, she married Eldon Loveland Ward in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. To this union were born nine children, Noreen, Michael, LeAnn, Marsha, Daniel, Kevin, Laura, Kelley, and Nathan. Evelyn and Eldon made their home in Coltman where they raised their children on the family farm and dairy.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Evelyn and her husband served an LDS mission to North Carolina. She also served in many callings in Relief Society, Primary and in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She supported her husband in his many calling including Bishop and Stake President. She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, painting, and genealogy.

son, Daniel (Rae) Ward of Malad City, ID;
son, Kevin (Sondra) Ward of Idaho Falls, ID;
daughter, Laura (Charles) Beasley of Ucon, ID;
daughter, Kelley (Paul) Young of Austin, TX;
son, Nathan (Jennifer) Ward of Idaho Falls, ID;
sister, Marion Bloomquist of Syracuse, UT;
46 grandchildren and 75 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eldon Loveland Ward, her brother Norman Johnson, a grandson and great grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the Coltman LDS 1st Ward, 12448 North 5th East, with Bishop Blair Sautter officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and 10:00-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Grant-Central Cemetery.
