Randy was born November 18, 1955 in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Darhl Hughes and Anna Richard Hughes Landon. He was raised and attended school in Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot High School in 1974. Randy is a lifetime Blackfoot resident.
On February 18, 1977 he married his soul mate, Brenda Summers. Three children were born to this union, Randy Jr., Jessica Ann, and Ryan B. His family was his world.
Randy made quite a reputation for himself as a parts man, most recently working for Driscoll Brothers in Aberdeen and Central Equipment in Pocatello.
He was an avid outdoors man, and especially loved riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda, of Blackfoot; children, Randy (Sheri) Hughes Jr., of Boise, Idaho, Jessica Ann (Blaine) John, of Blackfoot; Ryan (Merri) Hughes of Blackfoot; his mother, Anna and second Father Leon Landon, of Blackfoot; step-mother, Ellen Hughes, of Blackfoot; brothers Rodney Hughes and Ricky (April) Hughes, both of Blackfoot; sister, Vickie Lish, of Boise ,seven grandchildren his Aunt Joan Boyce of Idahofalls; Uncle Gerald D. (Nelda) Richards of Idahofalls and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Darhl Hughes. Grandparents Walter and Merle Hughes and Clifford and Fae Richards
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Hawker Funeral Home. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014 at the funeral home and again for one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
